And silly me...I figured he must be clean and sober by now (in order to still be alive) so I dismissed it on that basis....what do I know?
He's an idiot either way. At least he won't have to go on the road to promote "Pirates". Perhaps there WAS a method to his madness. Just wasnt' up to meeting with all those kids and keeping a decent tongue in his mouth...
The boys have been saying outrageously silly things for the press for nearly fifty years now and banking millions of dollars a year for it. The existences these days of most of the big celebrity British musicians of that vintage are so manorial it's humourous. At their age and with their schedule, they simply CAN'T lead the life of self-indulgent hedonism they may have had for a while long ago. Believe me, that's one thing I know all about...
