maybe even dig a shelter

Alan Greenspan's predecessor, Paul Volcker, predicts a seventy-five percent possibility of a dollar meltdown in the next five years based on the prediction that the asian and european countries will continue pulling away from buying US notes and financing our national debt, due to the massive deficits we continue to accrue. Bush just obtained an eight-hundred billion dollar increase in the budget deficit limit again. Great idea, George, your credit cards are maxed out, so the answer is to get the company to raise your limit and hope you can keep kiting your ever-expanding payments for a while longer. Today, gold was over $432.00 per ounce, inflation is already rearing its head with an 8.6% increase in fuel prices last month - folks, seriously, start living like you're preparing for disaster and stock up on emergency supplies, staples, bottled water, candles, flashlights and batteries, blankets and hard-use clothing, over-the-counter medicines, all of the things they used to say have at least a fewweeks supply of during the Cold War days. It won't cost much now and it may just save your life before the end of this administration.
