It just occurred to me that the fact that the most powerful person in the world uses the utterly incorrect pronunciation "nukular" is the simplest and most blunt evidence that our president, George W. Bush, is psychologically incapable of admitting, to the point of neurosis, that he is anything less than perfect and has never erred in his entire life. It is impossible to conceive that he has not had the proper pronunciation pointed out to him at some point. Are we to believe that it's so difficult to pronounce the word "nuclear" properly that he is unable to do so? That it is perhaps the fault of his Texas accent? That he forgets how to say it since he uses it so infrequently? No, I submit that he is compulsively unwilling to admit to any truth that he doesn't like, no matter how miniscule it may be, and this is compelling evidence that this man is an incredible danger to our country.
