the new lexicon

I noticed today that a good vocabulary truly is important. A wealthy white woman being interviewed by Wolf Blitzer on CNN related the tale of her escape from New Orleans. Particularly interesting was the part where she explained that some of the people with whom she was trapped "entered a flooded pharmacy and commandeered some medications" that some of the other people with them needed.

Good thing they weren't poor and black, I suppose. They would probably have been shot for breaking into a drugstore and looting it under Feckless Leader's "Zero Tolerance" policy.
