don't it figure

John Kerry announces he will not be a candidate in the 2008 presidential contest and gives a barnburning speech before Congress, the exact speech that he needed to give in 2004 and the exact kind of courage and steadfastness that he should have displayed then.

Mr. Kerry, thank you, you will continue to be a better and better Senator for this country and will likely take over the Ted Kennedy position on the team someday and be a positive force on the United States with a great place in history.

However, the occasion, timing, and content of this great speech today demonstrates exactly why you are not the president now and should never strive to become president in the future.


You are a great American, do not rise to the level of your incompetence. We've already got one of those.
