Ungrateful Slobs
The passengers from "Miracle Flight US1549" have been informed by the airline that they will be comped an upgrade to preferred customer status for a year and they've received checks for $5K for to cover their lost luggage.
I think that's pretty cool. They have been MORE than compensated for their luggage loss (current limit is $3300 per person) and given an opportunity to be treated to posh surroundings in future flights--all in addition to having their LIVES SAVED BY A PILOT WHO DID EVERYTHING RIGHT when an "act of god" threatened to end all of their lives, and perhaps the lives a hundreds more.
Yes, that's right. A situation arose where they plane was disabled--completely out of control and beyond the control of the airline or any of it's employees-- and their lives were saved, They were more than compensated for their luggage, and now they're being given some additional perks as a kindness.
Today it was reported that the passengers are up in arms because they're not being properly compensated for their experience.
I think they should rescind the upgrade offer, cancel the checks and send them a lousy $3000 (the legal requirement) and tell them to PISS OFF. Those passengers obviously don't grasp the value of their own lives.

So nobody's mother tells their kids, any more, that a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush?
