banzai, buckaroo...

The U.S.S. Newport News, an American nuclear attack submarine, collided with the Japanese oil tanker Mogamigawa in the Straits of Hormuz between the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Hormuz. This comes not quite six years after the U.S.S. Greenville collided with and sank the Japanese fishing vessel Ehime Maru off the Hawaiian Islands.

I predict that the right wing will start hollering for regime change in Japan now that they are obviously testing some sort of advance submarine-attracting magnet on our navy.
