After the last eighteen hours of the Zarqawi deathfest celebratory media orgy, I'm starting to detect a growing undercurrent of vindication on behalf of Donald Rumsfeld, with a few cable news talking heads observing what a triumph it is for him to have "terminated" or "neutralized" the number one member of Al Qaida in Iraq.

That's interesting, isn't it?


Seems to me that if we follow established precedent, Rumsfeld really had nothing to do with it and it was just the efforts of "a couple of good apples" that killed Zarqawi...
